Our 6th class boys were in Wayside Celtic this week to compete in the FAI 5 a side tournament. In extremely tough conditions, the boys fought hard and although the results didn’t go our way, the boys had a great day.

Hurling has returned for the boys in 5th and 6th class with 54 boys training in Terenure College last Tuesday. The boys are preparing for the Cumann na mBunscol Leagues which begin after Easter. Well done to our school soccer team who had a great win over St. Kevin’s Kilnamanagh yesterday in Larkview. The league is well underway and the boys are training hard. Our 5 a side teams too are in action next week as they head to Wayside Celtic for the FAI 5 a Side tournament.

John the wood turner made his annual visit to St. Pius X and introduced the boys in 3rd, 4th and 5th class to the world of woodturning and carpentry. The boys got to play with some of Johns creations as well as watch how spinning tops and even pens are made using a lathe. I think we might have some

7 boys from 4th and 6th class had an interesting experience yesterday when they were ball boys at the Ireland V Japan U19s rugby match in Terenure College. The boys had a great day and even got to talk to some of the players. Well done lads.
