The boys in Ms. Pleamonn’s and Mr. Finnegan’s 3rd classes have been investigating their family histories. There was some great discoveries in both classes as the boys traced back through the generations. Some boys got back as far as their Great Great Great Grandparents!!

This weekend our communion class of 2019/20 (now in 4th) will finally get to make their sacrament of First Holy Communion. The boys in Ms O’ Neill’s Junior infants have been working hard the last week on their masterpiece for reception. The boys worked together to make one giant drawing which hangs in the prime location of the schools reception area.

Sean in Mr Curtin’s class just finished his first book ‘Nemo and the Scary Sea’. Sean worked on all aspects of the book, from researching online, typing the story, sourcing the illustrations and printing the finished book. Well done Sean

Our Senior Infants and 4th Class boys have been practicing their tennis skills every Wednesday down in Terenure College.  Practicing their serves and returns, the boys will be all ready to grace the courts of Wimbledon in a few years time.

Ailbe in Ms. Pleamonn’s class was presented with this certificate by Libraries Ireland for reading over 20 books this summer. The programme ‘Summer Stars’ encourages boys and girls to read each summer. Ailbe kept up the reading all summer and was a worthy winner.

Ms Pleamonn’s 3rd Class are researching their family trees at the moment. The boys are tracing their roots and completing projects. Jamie uncovered some very interesting facts about his great great grandfather. Frank McCormack was a soldier in 1916 and Jamie brought in his gun belt that he wore during the rising. It is over 100 years old!! Jamie also

The annual Faughs community project awards night took place last night in the Faugh’s clubhouse. Boys from 5th class completed projects last year showing the great link between the school and club. Special guest on the night was Dublin Hurling manager Mattie Kenny who answered questions, posed for photos and most importantly told the boys what qualities he looks for

The boys in Ms Stewart’s Junior Infants have been very busy the last few weeks working on their fine motor skills. Using loads of fun resources, the boys have mastered many new skills which will help them during there time in St. Pius X.

The boys in Ms. Gallagher’s Junior Infants are loving Aistear. The theme at the moment is ‘dinner time’ and as we know everybody loves dinner time! Through play, the boys have been exploring and experiencing all the elements of meal time at home and are learning how to express themselves and their thoughts about meal time.
